Here are pictures from The Ground House’s Open Comedy Mic Night on May 6th 2009 in Pitman New Jersey. You can go every wednesday, signups at 6 and starting at 7. We reviewed it here.

The night started with Todd Chappelle, the host of the night:

He played:

  • “This is my opening song”
  • “Believe it or not, Swine Flu”
  • “Amish Girl”

Amish Girl was especially hilarious. After warming the room up a little, Alan Piket went up and performed his set

After Alan was done, Noah went up and made everyone laugh about the life he leads with his girlfriend:

Following Noah was Jeff Soles. We caught video of Soles in the middle of his act, mimicking his mother watching the Phillies and commenting on them:

After he finished up, we were entertained by Joanne Syrigonakis,

And then Tim Grill performed,

Then someone only known as “The Joker” came up to perform his set. He told us about nuns and a bathroom trick

And to close out the set of new performers, Corey Kastle finished off the night:

Todd Chappelle closed out with some more music. Everyone stayed around to talk a little after and we left. It was a busy night and a great time. It’s rare to find Comedy nights like this in South Jersey, so take a Wednesday to come out and laugh for once.
